1. General
1.1 Tsogo Sun ("THE COMPANY") reserves the right to amend or discontinue this programme, or parts thereof, on reasonable notice.
1.2. The Company reserves the right to reverse any transaction that is subsequently found to be not in accordance with Tsogo Sun's stated terms and conditions (as amended from time to time). Tsogo Sun Ltd also reserves the right to call for copies of hotel accounts as evidence of amounts paid and Sun Rands credited, either before or after the Sun Rands are credited or redemptions made, and these may be subject to audit.
1.3. The Company and participating hotels and resorts are not liable for any omissions, acts, or defaults made by any of the Programme Partners.
1.4. The Company cannot be held responsible for correspondence sent to you, which is lost or delayed in the mail.
1.5. By making use of the Frequent Guest Programme, guests acknowledge that they are aware of the conditions of use. To ensure you receive your membership benefits and rewards, please quote your Frequent Guest membership number when making your bookings and on check-in at the hotel.
1.6. Benefits are applicable/ granted once you are in receipt of a valid Frequent Guest membership number.
1.7. All bookings are subject to existing terms and conditions prevailing at the time booking, including meal and children's policies.
1.8. Unless otherwise stated, all bookings and benefits are subject to availability.
1.9. Hotels reserves the right to verify the member's identity to ensure the member receives all applicable benefits and rewards.
1.10. The Company reserves the right to request positive identification of the member.
1.11. Director and President cardholders must report lost, stolen, or damaged cards to the Tsogo Sun Customer Contact Centre. A fee may be charged for replacement cards.
1.12. Should you misplace or forget your confidential PIN, call the Tsogo Sun Customer Contact Centre. Proof of identity in the form of your identity number will be required when requesting a duplicate PIN. Or you can go to “Forgot Password” on the home page on tsogosunhotel.com.
1.13. The Frequent Guest programme is valid only at participating Tsogo Sun Hotel Interests (Pty) Ltd hotels in Africa. The participating hotels may be changed from time to time and such changes will be published under Tsogo Sun terms and conditions on this website.
1.14. Sun Rands are earned at participating hotels on qualifying rates only. Please enquire at the Tsogo Sun Customer Contact Centre, online - or on check-in to ensure that you will be staying at a qualifying rate.
1.15. Formula 1 and Formula Inn do not participate in the Frequent Guest programme.
1.16. Frequent Guest benefits are applicable only when the member personally occupies the room. When special offers allow for booking more than one room, the Frequent Guest member must accompany the party in order to receive special rates and any other benefits. Sun Rand benefits (if applicable) apply to a maximum of two rooms.
1.17. Stays on certain volume rates (including Discovery Vitality), long stays and as a timeshare owner do not count towards tier upgrades. Members purchasing or making use of Timeshare units through the Timeshare sales offices for resort properties do not qualify for benefits or rewards of the Frequent Guest programme.
1.18. All customer related queries should be directed to the Tsogo Sun Customer Contact Centre on 0861 44 77 44 or 27 (0)11 461-9741 for International calls (International calls are charged at standard rates).
1.19. Benefits listed herein are only applicable to individual Frequent Guest members.
1.20. No benefit may be redeemed for value or otherwise exchanged.
1.21. Sun Rands are not transferable from one Frequent Guest member to another or to any third party and may be used only for the benefit of the card holder and his or her immediate family (spouse and children). Your Frequent Guest membership is for your use only. Misuse of your membership can result in its cancellation, forfeiture of accumulated Sun Rands, and any other action considered appropriate by The Company at Tsogo Sun's sole discretion.
1.22. Any government taxes levied will be for the member's account.
1.23. Frequent Guest members staying at a Southern Sun Resort might have to move when Timeshare owners take ownership. (Applicable to Saturday night stay).
1.24. While you can book up to 9 rooms online, Sun Rands will only be earned on the room occupied by the Frequent Guest member. This also applies to nights qualifying for upgraded membership status.
1.25. Director and President card holders Food and Beverage discount is valid at Tsogo Sun Hotels owned restaurants only. Applies to 1 to 8 guests. Discounts apply to food and beverage. Only applicable to bills paid by the Frequent Guest member, the member must accompany the group. Membership card must be presented to claim discount. Room service does not qualify for this discount. No retroactive claims will be permitted. For queries and further conditions of use, call the Tsogo Sun Customer Contact Centre.
1.26. WHILST THE MATERIAL SET OUT IN THIS BROCHURE IS PREPARED WITH THE UTMOST CARE AND ACCURACY, TSOGO SUN HOTEL INTERESTS (PTY) LTD ("THE COMPANY") SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INACCURACIES OR ANY SUCH MATERIAL OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION SUPPLIED BY IT, AND THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE ARISING FROM INCORRECT OR INACCURATE INFORMATION, UNLESS SUCH DAMAGE IS ATTRIBUTABLE TO GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR AN INTENTIONAL ACT OF THE COMPANY
1.27. THE COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ALTER THE MATERIAL SET OUT HEREIN AND TO CHANGE THAT OF THE PREMISES LISTED AND IN ADDITION, THE COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT, TO ADD OR DELETE PREMISES TO AND FROM THOSE LISTED HEREIN SUCH THAT THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE WITH RESPECT TO ANY SUCH CHANGES, ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS, UNLESS SUCH LIABILITY ARISES FROM THE GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR AN INTENTIONAL WRONGFUL ACT OF THE COMPANY. THE COMPANY AND PARTICIPATING HOTELS AND RESORT BRANDS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY OMISSIONS, ACTS AND DEFAULTS MADE BY ANY OF THE PROGRAMME PARTNERS.
1.27. Employees of The Company may participate in the Frequent Guest programme for Programme Partner benefits only, but may not earn Sun Rands at participating hotels.
1.28. No travel agent commission is payable on any Sun Rand redemption booking.
1.29. Effective the 01st June 2012, Southern Sun Gold Reef City and Gold Reef City Theme Park Hotel participate in the Frequent Guest programme.
1.30. Effective the 29th June 2012, Al Manzil and Qarmardeen no longer participate in the Frequent Guest programme.
1.31. Rates quoted for South African Hotels are in South African Rands (ZAR) and are available for South African Residents only.
1.32. Pay single, stay double benefit - when you pay the single Frequent Guest corporate / business rate, your partner stays free.
2. Sun Rand Redemption Booking Conditions
2.1. Bookings cannot be made more than 6 months in advance of arrival and must include a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night.
2.2. Southern Sun Resorts redemption bookings cannot be made more than 30 days prior to arrival.
2.3. "Topping up" allows you to accumulate 50% of the Sun Rands required for a free holiday and then pay for the balance in cash on check-in at the hotel.
2.4. Sun Rands can only be redeemed at participating hotels.
3. Frequent Guest Check-in Policy
3.1. As a Frequent Guest member the hotels will endavour to ensure your pre-registration is done prior to your check-in.
3.2. Frequent Guest members pre-registration card needs to be signed on arrival and a payment method needs to be presented on check-in.
